We have been selling
quality interior foliage and cacti in the metro area for over 20
years. Originally named Golden Sands, Scott and Larry
purchased the business in 2003 and renamed it The Emerald Leaf – hence our
tag line The Gem of the Plant World.
Scott, Larry, Mandy, Paula, Thomas, Kay,
Charlene, Michelle, Barb, Nicky, Shandi and Adam look
forward to the opportunity to help you with your interior plant
needs.
Our goal as been to maintain high quality standards,
build upon our selection and become known as the place with the best
customer service, as outlined below:

Quality – We rate
our plants so that you will know exactly what you are getting. A rating of ‘5’ means that is the
best that plant in that size of pot should be expected to look. A rating of ‘4’ is average – the
plant looks fine, but might be a little short or not quite as full. We go to California approximately
every 6 weeks and hand-pick our inventory. This ensures we get the best
quality material available in Southern California (we visit
approximately 40 greenhouses each trip) and allows us to find items that
we would not otherwise have seen if we’d just ordered over the
phone. In between trips,
when we do have to place phone orders with the growers, they are used to
our rating system and will tell us if we don’t want a particular item
this go-around. We also
contract with a broker in Florida who does the same thing. He visits growers every week and
only tags material for us that looks the best.

Selection – We visit 40 growers in
Southern California and visit new places each time we go there. We have added material from
Florida, Oregon and New Mexico to our inventory, as well. This means we can offer the best
material from both coasts.

Customer
Service –We aren’t happy unless you’re happy. We fully guarantee our
plants. If you’re not
pleased with something we’ve sent you, just let us know within 48
hours and we’ll do whatever it takes to make it right – no
questions asked. If we make
a mistake (we are human after all, so we will make some from time to
time), we will own up to it and resolve the situation to your
satisfaction. Lastly, we
will bend over backwards to meet your needs – give us a chance, you may
be pleasantly surprised!

Here are a few things we won't
do:
- We do not have
a minimum order requirement.
- We do not
limit you to deliveries on only certain days of the
week.
- We do not compete with our
customers with our own retail
stores.
